Our artisan spirit is made in a fantastic collaboration with David Owens, head distiller at Waterton’s Reserve
Gin, a brand soaked in Yorkshire roots and inspired by the spirit of adventure and exploration. With an illustrious career spanning nearly three decades in the international drinks sector, David brings an unparalleled depth of knowledge and expertise to Watson’s Gin. His journey through the world of flavours and ingredients has taken him to over a quarter of the world’s countries, where he has been instrumental in developing
hospitality standards, training programs, creating recipes and working on distillery projects across the globe.
David’s passion for innovation and his visionary approach to gin distillation have enabled him to bring even the
most eccentric fusion recipes to life. His collaboration with the Watsons brand is a testament to the magic that happens when creativity meets craftsmanship. Together, they explore the boundless possibilities of gin, creating exceptional blends that are as unique as they are delicious.
Watson & Wyatt is a very complex gin handcrafted with no less than eighteen carefully chosen botanicals bursting with flavour. To complement our six core botanicals and to represent Watson’s homeland of Turkey we have Fig, Apricot,
Dates, Hibiscus Flower, Candied Ginger and Red Peppercorn.
To balance these rich Mediterranean fruits and spices we have a further six botanicals synonymous with the Dales of Yorkshire; Strawberry, Elderberry, Bilberry, Rhubarb, Nettle and of course the Rose.
All skilfully blended by David to create our flagship Yorkshire Dry. An incredibly smooth, warming and aromatic
gin that pleasantly surprises with its deliciously moreish finish.
This partnership is not just about creating outstanding gin; it’s a celebration of community, creativity, and the
genuine connections that form when good people and a great dog come together with a shared vision.
